Adding a wildlife pond to your garden will give it a huge biodiversity boost. But what makes a pond good for wildlife?
Creating a wildlife pond makes a watery haven in your garden for wildlife and will entice more visitors to your garden. During this presentation you will be shown how to plan and create a wildlife pond including: optimal design to benefit amphibians; choosing construction materials; and planting for both aquatic and marginal zones.

The 90-minute, live, online session will be delivered by gardening and nature expert, Fran Halsall. During the session you can expect;
- Introduction to ‘Creating a wildlife pond’
- Design to benefit amphibians
- Construction materials
- Planting for aquatic and marginal zones
Each session is limited to 15 people to ensure quality and includes:
- Five-minute tea break half-way through
- Short Q&A at the end for support on specific topics
- Recording of the Zoom meeting, to download and rewatch at your leisure
- PDF version of the tutorial that will help you with your garden projects
