Last week I teamed up with Green City Heritage, in my role as project leader of Sheffield Woodland Connections, to make a short film for this year’s Urban Tree Festival. Together we explored the wonderful urban woodland – with appropriate physical distancing – found growing in Sheffield General Cemetery. The cemetery has a fine collection of mature trees, many of them on their way to becoming veterans, and is only a stone’s throw from the city centre.
All being well, I hope to resume leading my tree walks at this location later in the year. Watch the video to see some of the cemetery’s ecological highlights.
